The video quality of this camera is great and so is the night vision. I live in a court at the very end and I can literally see all the way to the cross street at night. Loved this camera so much I decided to buy another.
I did a lot of research trying to decide on a good, affordable camera. I would estimate that you can clearly see objects 50-60 feet away in complete darkness, which I think is great for a cameras in this price range. I purchased the qsee and a different brand at the same time. The qsee is a great all around camera and does an excellent job at night. The daytime color ability is good too although the dome camera I purchased seems to be more accurate during the day and poor at night. I would definitely suggest buying this camera as a home security option.
This was to be an upgrade from the cameras that came with our Q-See security system. Frankly, I expected better after reading the reviews here. I thought the clarity was pretty poor with and without the night vision.I returned the Q-See system and these cameras and went with another brand.
My only complaint is the glowing red IR rings that are a dead give away that I'm recording them. I am very impressed with the quality of night time video. I bought two of these to accompany the SVAT CV31. My SVAT camera does not glow (but the picture's not as clear at night either). I also saw the rings on my monitor that many others have noted, I was able to adjust the settings through my DVR to bring the brightness down a bit and it looks pretty good. The two cameras that I bought had different cables and adapters but they both work well. I was hoping to be a little more covert. Anyway, it may work out to deter the problem.Overall, I am very satisfied.
Oh instructions would have been appreciated also. The outside lights make the picture kind of cloudy.
Wow, these work. I can see extremely well not only live but when I play back recorded events.
I bought these cameras to replace the disappointing ones that came with the dvr. Total darkness is actually best.
Before I would just see a mess of pixals, making nighttime viewing totally useless. No more problem.
Do they make a camera like this in the wide angle. This camera does NOT come with brackets on the top and bottom making it difficult to mount under the eaves
